Meet Brianna Louise Babick, MA - Compassionate Therapist and Art Therapy Specialist
Hello and welcome! I’m Brianna Louise Babick, a dedicated therapist with a Master’s degree in Therapeutic Counseling and Art Therapy from Lesley University. With over 1,750 hours accrued toward licensure, I have extensive experience providing therapeutic support to individuals, families, and groups, helping them navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. I am passionate about creating a safe and supportive space where clients can explore, express, and heal through the power of art and traditional counseling techniques.
Specialties and Approach
I specialize in helping both children (ages 4+) and adults work through a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and grief. With a deep understanding of the unique needs of each client, I tailor my approach to foster self-expression and personal growth. I’m known for my warmth, empathy, and ability to connect deeply with clients, making therapy a truly collaborative process.
In sessions, I often incorporate creative modalities such as art therapy to help clients express emotions that might be difficult to verbalize. Whether we’re using paint, collage, or simply engaging in mindful conversation, my goal is to help you discover and nurture your strengths while creating a safe space for self-exploration.
Professional Background and Experience
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse populations in various settings, including bereavement care for hospice patients, therapeutic services in the women’s prison system, and support groups for the LGBTQ+ community. I’ve also provided art therapy to homeless individuals, offering a creative outlet for expression and healing.
My work history includes serving as a Mental Health Clinician at South Bay Community Services, where I provided outpatient therapeutic services to children and adults within home and clinical settings. I have also held roles as a Bereavement Coordinator at All Care Hospice, where I supported hospice patients and their families, and interned at Emmanuel Church, providing art therapy to underserved groups.
Education and Artistic Background
I hold a Master’s degree in Therapeutic Counseling and Art Therapy from Lesley University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). My strong background in the arts, combined with my clinical training, enables me to incorporate expressive arts therapies into my practice, enriching the therapeutic experience for my clients.
